Mommy Must-Haves for a Blissful Postpartum Journey
Bringing a new life into the world is an incredible experience, but it also comes with its own set of challenges. As a new mom, your focus shifts entirely to the well-being of your precious little one. However, it's crucial not to overlook your own needs during the postpartum period. It can be easy to forget until the very last minute when you're packing the hospital bag, or arriving home from the hospital. To help you navigate this beautiful, delicate, yet demanding phase, we've compiled a list of our favorite essential Mommy Must-Haves that will make your postpartum journey smoother and more enjoyable. We have personally used these products and also include them in our gift boxes.
- Comfortable Nursing Bras: Investing in a few well-fitting, comfortable nursing bras is essential for any new mom. Look for options with easy-to-open clasps, soft fabric, and adjustable straps for maximum comfort and convenience during those frequent nursing sessions. You may live in this bra for quite some time, so quality, comfort, and accessibility matters.
2. Nursing Balms: Breastfeeding can be quite the experience especially in the first few weeks as you and baby find the technique that works best for you, and as your nipps adjust to a whole new experience. Finding a non-toxic, all natural balm or butter that can soothe dry, cracked nipps is a life saver. Having it handy before baby arrives is even better. Something to toss into the hospital bag.

3. Lactation Boosters have helped in the first few weeks for boosting my milk supply, and at times when I felt like it was "drying up". There are sooo many natural recipes and concoctions that certainly can help with increasing your milk supply, but mama doesn't need more added to her plate. I loved lactation lattes and teas. I personally prefer Milksta, Go Lacta, and Earth Mama. We also include these in our gift boxes. Moms are pleasantly surprised at our attention to detail when they receive in their postpartum kits.
4. Nursing Pads: As the milk supply flows, you will want to protect those bras and blouses with some nursing pads. We love reusable nursing pads
We also love the disposable alternative because you never know when you'll need 'em, and how often you'll have to change 'em.
5. Disposable Underwear, Cold Compress, and Witch Hazel Wipes or Perineal Witch Hazel Foam: Whether vaginal birth or c-section the love below goes through quite an experience, which can result in soreness, tenderness, tearing, stitches, continued bleeding, hemorrhoids', to name a few. Disposable underwear supported with the heavy flow for the first few days following birth. Cold Compress and Witch Hazel wipes will soothe vaginal discomforts and promote healing.
6. Peri-Bottle: You may receive one from the hospital for free but we suggest a peri bottle with a longer, curved spray nozzle.
7. Sitz Bath: Do a vaginal steam by hoover (do not submerge) over a basin of hot/warm water, epson salts, and herbs to help sooth and circulate the flow of remaining tissue from birthing. This has many benefits that will help the healing process, and create a spa like environment during recovery.
