Our Story
Following birth of my first child I suffered Postpartum depression, something that I didn’t realize was so easy to fall into. I adored my role as a new mother but I just could not balance taking care of my new baby and myself. I quickly felt overwhelmed, and like there wasn’t enough time in the day. I wanted to be a super mom.....Cleaning, cooking, working, all while taking care of my tiny bundle of love. It took a toll on me, physically and mentally. With my second, I planned to prepare myself to lean on my community of loved ones for support so that I didn’t experience the low points again. Treating myself to alone time - soft robe, light a candle, put on a face mask, brew a nice cup of tea and relax with music, a podcast or a book. I found that it all starts during pregnancy, to the hospital, then to the return home.
